Often the client is stating something they were told by someone else or basing a comment on something they read in a book or on a blog. They don’t live their daily lives in the digital trenches like we do which is why they are talking to us in the first place. Showing empathy and patience, explaining the constant changes taking place in digital marketing, and helping the client gain greater perspective into their own needs is job #1.

Over the past 2 ½ years they have gone through several C-suite changes, and I am excited to have assisted with change management in providing guidance on how our organizations have collaboratively overcome many historic, mismanaged marketing initiatives with poor financial oversight. We are now hitting goals, exceeding the CEO and Board of Trustees expectations, and moving past the competition in the market.
Contract negotiation. I enjoy working through sensitive legal and financial terms with clients. No one really likes this part of the job, but when you get to this stage, it means we’re close to finalizing the deal to become long-term partners.
